Documents may be submitted in various formats such as JPG, PNG, or TIF, or as PDF files.

Banks are mandated to extract and validate key data fields from these documents. These fields are essential for accurately linking the FASTag to the respective vehicle and verifying the authenticity of the submitted information. Manual extraction and validation of data is time-consuming, resource-intensive, and lacks scalability. Moreover, errors in data extraction can lead to the issuance of FASTags for non-compliant vehicles, which may result in operational inefficiencies, audit issues, or problems at toll plazas. In addition to processing new applications, banks must periodically revalidate documents for existing FASTag holders to ensure that all records remain current and compliant.
